Sales reps complain to me all the time about competitors (or the marketplace) taking business away from them.
So the first thing I ask them is…
“What are YOU doing about it?”
or
“What are you GOING to do about it?”

Thirty-three years ago, I faced the biggest challenge of my seed selling career. Not only was my own sales territory in jeopardy, but so was the entire company I was working for.
But this threat was not from a competitor. It was actually from our very own government when they introduced a new Federal program called Payment In Kind (PIK).
