For over 55 years my dad farmed in South Dakota. He was a really good farmer and a really nice guy.
But do you know what his favorite game to play was?
He LOVED to beat up sales reps.
Especially the sales reps that drove into his farm place with no value to sell…only price.
My dad was a black belt when it came time to dicker, haggle, or bargain about the price he was going to pay for his farm inputs, especially seed.
So ask yourself, do you ever feel like you aren’t a sales rep, but instead a punching bag just driving around in a pickup truck?
In today’s RodCam, I explain the only value a farmer really gets.

P.S. The marketplace has become increasingly dominated by companies whose only method of getting a sale is offering a cheap price.
