Thomas Osthus is Vice President of Marketing for the R.C. Thomas Company. Thomas oversees the entire marketing scope for the R.C. Thomas Company and their Seed Seller Training brands that includes Seed Seller Training Journal, TV and Radio. His expertise is in building value and training content for sales reps across the globe by using the online tools of web 2.0 and social media.
In 2005, Thomas became the managing editor of the company’s newly created SeedSeller Training Journal, the only sales training publication dedicated to selling seed.
Thomas was born and raised in Olivia, MN, aka the “Corn Capital of the World.” Growing up in Olivia, his exposure to agriculture started at a very young age working in corn research fields and production fields during the summertime. In addition to thinning, rouging, shoot bagging and pollination, he spent long hours working for local farmers pulling weeds, picking rocks and managing sugar beet fields.
After high school Thomas attended Gustavus Adolphus College where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management in 2004. Since joining the company, Thomas has created and implemented full-scale customized Customer Relationship Management programs, designed and created processes for customizing grower cropping plans and set up customer communication systems as well as conducted training seminars for sales and customer service reps.
Thomas’ entrepreneurial spirit and passion to create makes him a true asset to every client and to the growth of the R.C. Thomas Company.
